“THREE GENERATIONS OF ART
Mother, daughter, granddaughter. These three women all live within a few
miles of each other and share a unique bond of love, bloodline and
paint. For the first time, the three of them will be showing their work
at Prallsville Mills”
A throw back to the 2013 Earth Day parades I organized in Poultney Vermont. I made all of these heads out of recycled material and paper-mache. Green Mountain College purchased the puppet heads from me with a Student Campus Greening Fund grant. They can still be seen being used in parades and other events raising environmental awareness (and bringing smiles).

These are a few images I have taken over the years, that when put together are a brief meditation on death and ones inevitable mortality.
“Watching a peaceful death of a human being reminds us of a falling star; one of a million lights in a vast sky that flares up for a brief moment only to disappear into the endless night forever.” -Elisabeth Kübler-Ross

I’m part of a modern art show at Vergis Gallery in Lambertville NJ. It is up for a month, check it out.
About the show:
and abstract expressive art takes the natural world, excludes the
obvious, and reveals emotional thought and feeling. Often we approach
artwork with expectations. Modern artwork is the antithesis of this.
Modern abstractions are much more metaphysical. This artwork provokes
the viewer. Modern artwork is the “let go” experience.
work has been often overlooked and incomprehensible to many, and
understandably so, as our culture and experience is much more pastoral
and representational. Historical artwork has given easy pleasure. Modern
works takes pause and reflection. This is so new to many of us. This
show is a gateway to modern comprehension and appreciation.
craftsmanship, taste and experience are paramount to excellent modern
art. Five outstanding artists will present this collection at this
show. Lucy Graves Mc Vicker, Nancy Shill, Annelise van Dommelen, Rhonda
Garland and emerging artist, Annie Parham, will present to you an
opportunity to engage and enjoy in such an experience.
show will be on exhibit Thursday- Sundays, 1:00-6:00 until June 28th. All are welcome and feedback is paramount for the Modernist Movement.”

While these cold days are ever-shortening, there is still the chance, in the brief light of day, to see the stoic beauty of the fallen snow resting on pines, swallowing a wood pile, or dusting the graves of another time.
I took these images of my grandmother in September shortly after her 80th birthday celebration. She is just as fabulous and strong as ever!
Now that the first snow has fallen here in Vermont I am reflecting on the autumn season. Vermont is known for its fall foliage, with good reason. The rolling mountains transition from green to bright red, orange and yellow. I spent Autumn drinking homemade cider, picking apples, and viewing the changing leaves all around me. It is the time of year where there is no place on earth I would rather be than Vermont.
Now available, some art prints of my work for sale at Society6.com, copy and paste the link below. More pieces sizes and products coming soon. Much more affordable then buying an original.
I am currently working on a new series of artwork. I’m using acrylic and spray paint, layering the colors over lace, tights, and natural objects (ferns, leafs etc). Here is a sneak peak. More to come in the future.
